Back in July 2024, SAG-AFTRA, the union representing many voice actors in the entertainment industry in the U.S., announced a strike against gaming companies. Negotiations continue between SAG-AFTRA and the industry, but for the duration of the strike, union members won’t record new voiceovers (VO).

In the meantime, we’ll adjust how we handle English-language VO for Special Costumes with custom VO to ensure we can still deliver new content.

• The next Special Costume affected is the one for Pymon/Reynai, which will only include voiceover lines by Reynai at the time of release. Pymon’s lines will be recorded and activated once the strike is over.

This temporary adjustment only affects English-language VO. Special Costume voiceover in Japanese will ship as planned.

Once the strike ends, we’ll update Special Costumes released with English base VO to include new lines recorded by the original actors, as soon as scheduling and studio availability allow.

We know this isn’t ideal, and we understand it’s frustrating to have to wait for custom VO, but this approach allows us to adapt to the ongoing strike while continuing to deliver new content. We’re committed to bringing you updated VO with the quality you expect as soon as we can.
