Greetings Guardians!

We wanted to share the Q&A based on the third quarter's community survey performed in the KR servers. 

Many of the questions are questions we have been spotting in global regions as well, so please check below for all the revisions and updates to come!

Please note that the contents and discussion points below may be rescheduled or updated with future announcements.
 

Q1. Are there any plans to add an appearance selection option based on the tier of the hero?

↳ We are preparing to add a feature that allows players to select the appearance of a hero based on their tier. However we do want to prioritize on realizing the new upcoming content and features stated in the recent 'Update to 2022 Second Half Roadmap Announcement,' so we cannot lock down on a date at this moment and we ask for your understanding on this.

Q2. Can a convenience feature to level up a hero to a certain level at once be added?

↳We will be adding a convenience feature to allow you to level up a hero to a certain level at once. This feature will arrive towards the end of 2022.

Q3. Will you be able to make Guild Raid rewards receivable all at once?

↳We are aware that Guild Raid's first day's rewards can be a hassle as you need to claim rewards multiple times.

However we feel that Guild Raid's reward pop-up window not only allow you to claim the rewards, but it also shows the hard work you put in with your guild members to simultaneously defeat an epic boss. We do not want to see such additional purposes disappearing due to a quality-of-life change, and as this feature does not provide too much inconvenience, we currently do not have plans to add this feature.

Q4. Are there any plans to revise Guild content to alleviate the fatigue that can arise from them?

↳The shortening of guild contents like Guild Raid and Guild Conquest War will be made some time in December (Could expand to next year for Global).

The current 14-day duration will likely be shortened to 7 days and Guild Raid's rewards will also be readjusted to match this change.

Please refere to the recent 'Update to 2022 Second Half Roadmap Announcement.'

Q5. Can there be more ways to obtain Hero Crystals and Legendary Awakening Stones?

↳With the update performed on October 4th, we introduced the 'Boost Event' which allowed you to obtain twice as much rewards in various contents.

In addition to the Boost Events, we are planning to expland the supply-and-demand according to content expansions to come.

Q6. Will you be revising the preset feature to make it more convenient (slot expansion, order change)?

↳Many Guardians have been sending their ideas and feedback on preset features, and we are also aware of the inconveniences it can cause, upon which we plan on making gradual improvements. Preset editing function and other areas will be touched upon, but the preset function does affect a lot of contents, so we will be taking our time and modifying it little by little to be safe, instead of trying to implement a radical change all at once. We ask for your understanding that we cannot promise on a clear time at this moment.

Q7. What are the future updates coming to Farm content?

↳We are aware that simply expanding the storage to allow you to stack up on materials for Farm cannot resolve the fundamental issues that may arise from the content. In order to alleviate this, we plan on adding new objects that can be crafted through Farm with November 1st (global) update. Besides buildings and crafts, we are aware that there needs to be more use for resources, and we are also planning on making improvements for this.

Q8. Are there plans to release the auto-check applied on Mystic Resistance when performing Auto Endowment?

↳As you can turn on/off yourself the the auto battle function in Rift dungeons, we will make improvements to allow on/off function to auto-check placed on Mystic Resistance when performing Auto Endowment.

This function will be added with the 2nd district update.

Q9. Will hero illustration silhouette mode be added?

↳There are no plans to add silhouette mode to Hero illustrations.

Q10. What are the plans to improve Team Death Match?

ㄴ What are the detection conditions added with October 4th udpate?

ㄴ Will features like 'reporting in-game user' or 'not meeting the same user' be added?

↳We are continously exploring ways to prevent malicious and foul gameplay. With the latest update performed on October 4th (global), we had reinforced detection conditions, and we will also be blocking intentional closure of Team Death Match to deliberately cancel matching with the upcoming November 1st (global) maintenance. However, if we were to state the precise detection conditions or methods, it could be used against us, so we have chosen not to disclose it; we ask for your understanding on this matter.

Q11. We believe Battle Medals rewarded at the end of each Team Death Match round is a problem. Why was this not updated?

↳Team Death Match is multiplayer content that requires the involvement of 6 Guardians. Unlike Arena content which only requires 2 Guardians, Team Death Match requires a huge pool of Guardians for matching to be made. Thus to encourage participation in Team Death Match, we are offering participation rewards unlike Arena.

However, we are aware that some players are playing rounds of Team Death Match unfaitfully and only for this participation reward. In order to provide a more fun gameplay environment, we are continuously doing R&D to prevent such misplay and are looking to provide new modes to add on to the fun of Team Death Match.

Q12. Can a function to give a buff to the remaining party members be added when a member is disconnected from a Team Death Match round?

↳If a team member you were playing with gets disconnected due to a network issue, it can definitely cause a big impact on your gameplay.

As the direction to take on improving this has not yet been set, it is hard for us to promise on a date at this time, but research is being conducted in various ways about this fundamental issue of disconnects and buffs. We will follow up with a future announcement if an appropriate method is confirmed later.

Q13. Can the number of retry count be shown when pausing in Conquest War?

↳With the last update performed on May 17th (global), we have added a new UI to show daily retry chance for the Boss Battle-type nodes. For normal battle stages and boss wave stages, even if you leave the battle or lose, the challenge count will not be consumed, so please note this is the reason why the retry count is not being displayed.

Q14. Could you expand usage of Bottle Caps so that they can be exchanged for more things?

↳We plan on adding a new costume that can be exchanged for Bottle Caps in the near future. Instead of increasing your dependency on KAMA-ZONE to gain resources needed for hero growth, we are looking to add more ways for you to obtain resources such as the recent Boost Event we introduced.

Q15. Are there plans to remove the elemental restriction on heroes with the recent addition of the endless Kama-ZONE stage?

↳Hero elementral restriction in Kama-ZONE is a basic rule that is implemented in higher difficulty stages with the intention to experience the challenge that arises from forming different elemental party combinations per round.

The 9th floor recently added that you can tackle endlessly is an expansion for ranking content and Season Achievement of the highest difficulty. So trials and basic rules such as elemental restriction are placed the same way, and there are no plans to remove this from the infinite floor mode.

Q16. Can you reduce the high difficulty setting on Season Achievements?

↳Season Achievements are designed to be difficult content as mentioned earlier, and it only offers 'Fame-related' rewards to the Guardians who have achieved them.

If the rewards are easily available to be claimed by all Guardians, it is hard for the Season Achievement rewards to serve as fame rewards.

Season Achievements were constructed to offer missions that require a lot of skill and effort so that the fame rewards are actually providing reputable rewards as the name suggests.

However, it was also designed to offer a gradual increase of difficulty so that you are not hitting a wall from the very beginning, and even if you do not have the highest specifications, you can receive some of the core rewards with steady playtime.

We are currently checking data biweekly on the mission clear rate of the Guardians and it is being confirmed that the clearance rate is at appropriate levels which leads us to believe that the missions on Season Achievements are being offered at an appropriate line and we do not have plans to make any revisions at this time.

Q17. Could you improve the UI on Season Achievements completed?

Ex. Count of silver coins consumed being shown on the window itself for the mission 'Spend X amount of Kama-ZONE silver coins'

↳We are aware that it may have been inconvenient to check your achievement progress in between your Season Achievements.

With the next Season Achievement term, we will prepare improving convenience features such as displaying Silver Coin consumption or stage retry counts.

Q18. Will you be easing the Season Achievement unlocking conditions?

↳Many Guardians have been sharing their feedback on unlock conditions for Season Achievements. The reason why we set this standard to World 14 clearance is because we did not want to discourage Guardians when faced with the difficult missions offered by the Season Achievements if it was unlocked too early into your gameplay progress.

However, we still have received and checked your feedback and after internal discussions with the development team, we came to the conclusion that unlocking Season Achievements early can also allow some of the rewards to be claimed and also allow Guardians to plan ahead to gear up for the missions that they can really set as their future goals to achieve.

With that being said, we are planning to make World 11 clearance the unlock condition for Season Achievements with the next season.

Q19. Are there any plans to expland the total number of Equipment you can have in your inventory?

↳We are aware that Item Dungeon playing will give you too many low-level Strengthening Hammers and make it difficult for you to organize your Inventory.

In order to improve upon this, we are planning to allow items that fill up the most space such as Strengthening Hammers' to be bundled with a total count showing in its cell (ex. 10 Lv.20 Strengthening Hammers will only take up 1 space in your Inventory and show the count of 20 on its UI).

However, this kind of work will need to be accompanied by reassessing general compensation and rewards offered in-game, and many unexpected variables could occur so we are not able to disclose an implementation date at this time.

We will announce in a future post when this convenience feature is added.

Q20. Can an equalized spec. mode be added to Arena or Team Death Match?

↳Team Death Match is content created for the Guardians looking for casual, light-hearted gameplay. However, we are also aware that the difference of specifications among Guardians is taking away the fun in this gameplay mode.

In order to improve upon this, we plan on adding features to edit Equipment levels or Awakening and Limit Break stats. This new feature is planned to be added some time between the end of 2022 and early 2023.

Q21. Can a 'replay' button be added to the pause window of Heavenhold Tower and Adventure?

↳We are aware of the inconvenience that can occur from having to retry Heavenhold Tower or Adventure mode by going back to the Heavenhold lobby and back into these modes.

In order to alleviate this, we will be adding the Retry button to the Pause window.

We will prepare to add this feature within this year as much as possible.

Q22. What are the new permanent contents coming?

↳Season Achievements added with the October 4th update (global) or Fishing content to be added on November 1st update (global) are new content of great interest and passion for us as well.

We have revealed more details on this with the Update to 2022 Second Half Roadmap post so please check this again.

Q23. Can a system to recommend party combinations be added within Expedition content?

↳Expedition is a content of higher difficulty compared to other existing contents. We also feel that additional features such as team combination recommendations can be needed.

With the addition of the second district to Expedition, we will add a new feature where you can check the parties of other Guardians that have cleared the Expedition stages with highest scores on the ranking board for your reference.

Q24. Can the Sweep function unlock conditions for Sweep in Guardian Base Camp be improved?

↳With the October 4th update (global), we have lowered the level limit for Sweep available in Guardian Base Camp.

Q25. Could you add more Guild Emblems?

↳We will add new types of Guild Emblems you can set yourself within the end of this year.

Q26. Can you allow gender change for (M/F) Knight?

↳As we have addressed in the previous '2022 2Q COMMUNITY Q&A' we have performed our review on the possibility of gender-switching option being added.

We will eventually add this feature but as gender-switching may affect the story and other parts of the game, this will require meticulous attention and is expected to take more time. We are planning to add this feature early next year.

Q27. Will any improvements to the Equipment enhancement be done?

↳With the update on September 20th (global), we have increased the number of material slots for upgrading Equipment and we are aware that now the enhancement effect is also elongated. We will try to shorten this enhancement effect by the end of this year.

Q28. Is it too difficult to have preview posts early on content development plans other than the Patch Notes?

↳We have revealed upcoming content through the second half roadmap post recently. It is hard to fix a date on the content schedule hereafter, but if there are any big changes in the progress of content under development, we will notify you with a future announcement.

Q29. Are there any new events to come for New Guardians?

↳With the next update scheduled for November 1st (global), we plan on largely increasing New Guardian Attendance Event rewards. Please check the next patch notes for details.

Besides this, we are also planning on launching new events for New Guardians, like what we created for Returning Guardians. However this event schedule is unconfirmed and we will notify you on this with a future announcement.

Q30. Can a 'save' function be added in between mini games being done during a Story mode? (ex. Driving mini game in World 14 or Duck Boat mission in After Inc.)

↳The special mini games and activities offered in between your World stage progress are designed to offer a seamless gameplay in one go. We did not plan on adding a save option in between the mini games from the initial planning stages so it is unlikely for such a feature to be added. We want to inform you that there are no plans to add this function.

Q31. Can we see more story in-game through Main Story, Short Story, and Visual Novels?

↳We are always grateful for the affection you have shown for the storyline of Guardian Tales.

First of all, it is difficult to promise on a main World update frequency due to the development schedule at this time. However, we want to promise expansion of Visual Novels and to focus on offering quality content.

Q32. Will the minimum level requirement by tier for CO-OP be expanded?

↳CO-OP and Defense Mode offer a type of difficulty by enforcing an entry level requirement, and we run them based on tiers to allow matching to be done faster with Guardians of similar specifications.

If we ease the minimum entry level requirement, then the distinction between tiers and difficulties will be blurred, and this can directly lower clear rates. We believe this type of change will cause a negative impact on long-term gameplay and diminish the fun of the content.

In addition, the custom room creation feature allows Guardians of lower-specs. to create rooms with Guardians of higher specs. So there are no plans to alleviate the minimum entry level requirement.

Q33. What are the plans on general hero balancing including non-mainstream heroes?

↳As answered in the previous '2022 2Q COMMUNITY Q&A' hero balancing will be done continuously.

Currently the development team is approaching hero balancing in various ways with much consideration and discussion.

In particular, we are looking to apply gradual balance adjustments to the heroes who were released early in the game and are now left out, and also the heroes who did not fill up their intended roles.

Hero balancing will adjust the default statistical adjustments, but also look at various areas, for example the recent revision of Weapon Skill Regen time party effect on heroes.

There will be additional adjustments coming in the near future so we ask for your patience at this time.

Q34. Can the difficulty of Heavenhold Tower 80th floor be lowered?

↳The 80th floor on Heavenhold Tower was designed to be challenging initially and this is why it was added as one of the Season Achievement missions.

We believe mitigating this content will go against the intentions set forth from Season Achievements, and also does not agree with the intentions of the stage design; and so there are no plans to lower the difficulty.
